Soothing

Hand-forged in India by a family whose lineage in kansa craft spans nearly 900 years, this tool embodies SINHA: a meeting of Ayurveda, modern skin science and the gua sha tradition. Kansa (a copper-tin bronze) is traditionally used in Ayurvedic marma massage. Combined with gua sha technique, it may help reduce puffiness, support lymphatic drainage and leave skin feeling soothed, sculpted and energised.

FAQS

What are the directions for use?

Prep: Begin with cleansed skin and apply a few drops of facial oil or serum for slip. Do not use on bare skin.

Hold and angle: Position the gua sha at a 15-45° angle so the bronze edge hugs your contours.

Glide with intention: Use slow, gentle strokes in a single direction. Keep pressure light so you are not pulling or tugging at the skin.

Sequence (5-10 strokes per area):

- Neck (collarbone to jaw)

- Jaw/Chin (centre outwards)

- Cheeks (nose to temples)

- Under-eyes (very light pressure, inner to outer)

- Forehead (inner brow outwards and upwards to the hairline)

Finish: Rinse with mild soap and warm water, pat dry, and store safely. For extra de-puffing, chill before use.

Start 2-3 times per week, then increase as your skin tolerates. Many people use it daily for 3-5 minutes.

This is a wellness ritual tool, not a medical device. Results may vary depending on technique, pressure, frequency of use, and what you pair it with. Use light pressure and avoid use on inflamed, irritated, sunburned, or brok

Do I need a face oil? Can I use this on dry skin?

For the best glide, use a facial oil or serum. Using it on dry skin can tug, so we don't recommend it. If you prefer dry use, keep strokes featherlight and sessions short.

What does the greyness mean while using the product?

A temporary grey film can occur when Kansa interacts with oils or acids on your skin. This is normal; simply wipe the film away and wash the area.

Can the gua sha be chilled?

Yes. A cold gua sha can enhance de-puffing, especially in the morning. Avoid extreme cold or freezing.

What precautions should be taken?

Keep away from fire.

Is this product suitable for sensitive and/or acne-prone skin?

It's not suitable for sensitive skin. If you're acne-prone, avoid using the tool over active breakouts or inflamed patches, and use it gently on unaffected areas only.

How should this product be stored?

Kansa will develop a natural patina over time and may change colour; this is completely normal and does not affect performance.

After each use, clean with mild soap and warm water. Pat dry and store safely.
